Seeking is based on some reason,
Understanding is without any!

Seeking is with an effort & purpose,
Understanding is spontaneous & effortless!

Understanding is absent in the Seeking,

While the ‘Seeker’ (one who is trying to understand)
is absent in the Understanding!

Seeking consists of the seeker, seeking & the sought,

While only the Understanding of one’s Real Nature prevails in the Understanding!

Seeking/Search consists of the search, searcher & the searched,

Understanding denies the very ‘Searcher’!

Seeking consists of stages, intervals & may be some practices,

While the Understanding is Eternal...despite of them!

Seeking has an aim or objective,
while the nature of Understanding is itself aim-less!

Seeking is supported by listening, reading or pondering,

While the Understanding is Self-supporting (independent)!

Fear of forgeting the 'gathered knowledge' prevails in the Seeking,

While, even the thought of having understood is absent in the Undersatnding!

Background of Seeking is always... Duality,

While the Understanding is the groundless Non-Duality!

Seeking is an ever changing state,

Whereas Understanding …. the ‘stateless’ state!

In Seeking, lock exists and the search for the key happens,

While in the Understanding, the clear Understanding prevails that

the lock and the key were never separated (two)! :-)

अधिक देखणें तरी निरंजन पाहणे ।

योगिराज विनविणें मना आलें वो माये ॥१॥

देहबळी देऊनी साधिलें म्यां साधनीं ।

"शब्दा"चे विसर्जन---तोच "निशब्द"

"शब्दा"चे विसर्जन---तोच "निशब्द"

निशब्दाचे मूल्...'शब्द', तर... शब्दाचे मूळ्...'निशब्द' ! 'शब्दा'ला दिसेल फक्त 'शब्द'च , तर.....निशब्दाला...फक्त 'निशब्द'! 'शब्दा'ला जसा 'निशब्दातही दिसतो फक्त शब्द...तसा 'निशब्दा'ला शब्दातही दिसतो फक्त 'निशब्द'! 'शब्दा'ला कसां बरं ओळखू येइल "निशब्द", झोपलेल्याला कधीतरी कळते का..कोण जागा झाला आहे ते… आणि तेही 'बुद्धीचा चश्मा' लावून !! इन-मिन पाच माणसे होती जी तेव्हा देहाकृतीतील कृष्णाच्या अनंत परब्रह्म स्वरुपाला ओळखत होती आणि बाकीची सर्व मात्र कृष्णाच्या आधीच्या देवतांचीच पूजा करत होती ना!!! आणि आता मात्र अनंत आहेत जी त्याची ईश्वर म्हणून पूजा करताहेत! गंम्मत आहे ना !! ;-)

'शब्दा'ला दिसतो जेव्हा 'निशब्दा'तील 'शब्द' आणि सुरु होते जमावलेल्या शब्दांची वळवळ....ऐकलेल्या, वाचलेल्या अनुभवरहीत 'शब्दांची' चुळबुळ! आणि मग 'शब्दाची' शब्दावरील 'अढळ भक्ती' कधी पाहूच शकत नाही 'निशब्द'! 'शब्दा'ला कायमच झोंबतो हा 'निशब्द' कारण शब्द जर राख तर "निशब्द" आहे चेतलेला अग्नि! 'शब्दा'साठी भय काय आहे तर समर्पणाचे ….नसलेले अस्तित्व मिटण्याचे!! मरतो कोण तर हाच जडबुद्धी 'शब्द' जो अनंत वाहणार्या 'निशब्दा'च्या प्रवाहात बुद्धीच्या किनारर्याला घट्ट पकडून बसला आहे. त्याला कधी लक्षातच येत नाही कि प्रवाहाला कायमच दोन किनारे असतात. एक ज्ञानाचा तर दुसरा प्रेमाचा, श्रद्धेचा, भक्तीचा ! एका किनार्याची वाहती नदी कधी कोणी पाहिली आहे का!!! गोलाकार अश्या एका किनार्याचे असते… ते स्थिर, मृतवत 'डबके'..त्यात प्रवाह नाही, जीवंतपणा नाही!

‘शब्द’ आहे कोरडे बीज जे कधी उमलतच नाही कारण उमलण्यासाठी लागतो ओलावा, प्रेमाचा. श्रद्धेचा! शब्दाला शब्द जोडला जातो फक्त आणि उरते फक्त शब्दांची बेचव, बेरस खिचडी, ज्याने कोणाचेच कधीच पोट भरलेले नाही! खिचडीची पाकक्रिया वाचून, पाठ करून, पुनरावृत्ती करून कधी कोणाचे पोट भरलेले ऐकलेले तर नाहि !!!!

एकूण काय तर ‘शब्दा’ला भय आहे हे मरणाचे......आणि मरण्याशिवाय वास्तविक "जन्म" कधीही कोणाचाही झालेलाच नाही ! 'शब्दा'ला जेव्हा कोठल्यातरी अज्ञात क्षणात झोंबतो हा 'निशब्द' तेव्हा होते एक जखम आणि 'शब्द' पुन्हा माहितीवजा शब्दांचे मलम लावून त्याला भरायचा असफल प्रयत्न करतो आणि उमलण्याचा एक सुंदर क्षण पुन्हा हातातून निघून जातो.

शब्दाला कायमच भय आहे 'निशब्दाचे. 'शब्दाला' भय आहे जखमेचे/पीडेचे आणि म्हणून तर तो 'निशब्दा'पासून लांब लांब पळत राहतो. पण श्रद्धेच्या अभावी त्याला दिसूच शकत नाही….

त्याला कधी ल़क्षातच येत नाही कि जखम करणारा हाच तर 'सदगुरु'! जखम करतो आहे असे जरी वाटले तरी तो वास्तविक जखम भरायचे काम करत असतो. नसलेल्या रोगाची जखम...अनावश्यक धारणांची, मान्यतांची जखम!

दिवाणखान्यात लटकवलेली...प्लैस्टिकच्या फुलांच्या 'शाश्वत' हाराने सुशोभित केलेली सदगुरुंची सुंदर तसवीर म्हणजे फक्त "सदगुरु" आहेत की काय !!!!! जेथे जेथे होते जखम/पीडा (शारिरीक नव्हे) तेथे तेथे …तेच सदगुरुंचे चरण! जखमेपासून लांब पळून पळून थकून नाही गेला का अजून हा 'शब्द'!!? शब्दांच्या ढाली घेऊन किती वेळ आणि कोठे कोठे पळत राहणार हा 'शब्द'!? जमवलेल्या शब्दांची पोती डोक्यावर घेऊन पुन्हा दारो-दारी नवीन शब्द गोळा करीत बोहारणीसारखा का फिरतो आहे हा 'शब्द'!!!

'शब्द' आणि 'निशब्दा'मधे अडथळा तरी काय आहे...अडचण काय आहे तर ती म्हणजे 'शब्दा'ची'..'शब्दा'वरील अढळ श्रद्धा! शब्दांच्या ढाली घेउन, शब्दांचे अलंकार घालून इकडे-तिकडे चौफेर पळणार्या 'शब्दा'ला कृष्णच काय...राम...बुद्ध...रमण...रजनिश...जीसस..निसर्गदत्त ह्यांसारखे "निशब्द"....काहीही करू शकत नाही. 'शब्दा'च्या अंगावरील अनंत भेगा, फटी त्यांना दिसत नाहीत असे नाही...पण जो पर्यंत 'शब्दा'मध्ये धाडस, धैर्य्, वास्तविक तहान, आंतरिक श्रद्धा.....दिसत नाही तो पर्यंत ते करुणेने वाट पहात राहतात. एकूण काय एका क्षणाचेच तर काम आहे...जशी शब्दाची शब्दावरील अढळ भक्ती स्वानुभवाने ढळणार तसे 'शब्दाचे' आपसुकच होणार विसर्जन, 'शब्दाचे' निशब्दाच्या पायी समर्पण.

वास्तविक 'जखम' हीच तर आहे 'औषधी'… हाच तर आहे खरां रामबाण उपाय !! जखम जेव्हा आंतरिक जाते तेव्हा तिच स्वतः औषध बनून प्रकट होते आणि मग कायमचाच रोग नाहिसा होतो आणि प्रकट होते खरे "स्वास्थ्य्".."स्व-स्थित" !!! :-)

सदगुरुकृपेने एका अज्ञात क्षणी...'निशब्दाच्या' अनंत, अथांग प्रवाहात वाहून जातो तो 'शब्द'....कायमचाच्...आणि उरतो फक्त "निशब्द"! आपलिची डोई आपल्या पायी! :-)

'शब्द' आणि 'निशब्दा'चा विस्तृत आणि व्यर्थ वाटणारी ही वायफळ चर्चा कशासाठी....! :-) शब्दातूनच सदगुरुकृपेने कधी कधी निघते एक वाट्..जी घेऊन जाते 'शब्दा'ला आपल्या मूळ 'स्वगृही'....'निशब्दा’मधे ! :-)

NR: lol……..ok. Disciple = Master. Is that simple now!

NR: lol Why is it so! It is such a simple spiritual mathematics. The mathematics of subtraction! The mathematics of Love!
Jagadhish: hm hm …… and how the equation gets solved!?

NR: Where is the ‘equation’! Ok. It is so Simple …The most natural subtraction…. Say spiritual subtraction which happens. ‘You = Me’, when seen as …….You – You = Me – Me     AND
‘Disciple=Master’, when seen as ……… Disciple - ‘Disciple hood’ = Master - Master,
Ends at ________ = _________ :-) ! Where is the equation now!!!
(Disciple-hood is the notion of being separate.)
Is there any necessity of using this = sign now………!!!! What remains is just ………… :-) Don’t phrase it in your mind with words like ‘nothingness’, ‘everything-ness’ based on what you have heard or read earlier otherwise you are going to miss IT again………………. :-)!
What prevails is the eternal, undeniable….flood of Love….‘Is-ness’, Gratefulness…Vastness…..Thankfulness….Satguru…Swaroopa....The nameless !!!
For Nitin it is the inexpressible love, gratefulness towards the Master (Satguru), which got unconcealed in to an unlimited flood! The initial love for the Satguru….faith in the Satguru, transcended in to its Real nature, the Real Love, Satguru, Swaroopa…! The Unlimited was just presumed as limited! You go on missing it because you think it is all about "Addition". That’s it!
Haven’t we arrived once again where we started……………………………:-) !!!!! lol

Addition of friendly allies!

Samsara is also nothing but addition,

Addition of more materials!

Religiousness also involves addition,

Addition of varied concepts & methods!

In all everything involves & revolves around Addition.. Collection!

How useful is that addition…..You know it better! :-)

Whereas Spirituality is always a Subtraction.

Subtraction of an apparent Everything-ness…

in to a residual, ever existing Nothingness!

राजकारणात आहे मित्रांची, शत्रूंची, समविचारी पक्षांची बेरिज,

समाजकारणात आहे समाजोपयोगी विचारांची बेरिज,

संसारात आहे धन, पद, प्रतिष्ठेची बेरिज,

तर....धार्मिकतेमधे आहे भयापोटी झालेली धार्मिक आचार्-विचारांची बेरिज,

एकूण काय तर सर्व गोळाबेरिजच!!
उपयोगी का निरुपयोगी.... ते तुम्हालांच माहीती..!!!! :-)

पण
अध्यात्म मात्र्..... कायमच वजाबकीचे......
वजा'बाकी' करून नंतर उरलेल्या (नुरलेल्या) बाकीचे !! :-)

Whatever the question, Love is the Answer!

A "Truth"ful Joke !

I happen to read following text under the SMS Joke of the day section today, which represents the spiritual seekers in a broader perspective. ;-)

Dog: My owners feed me, love me, provide me with a nice house, and take good care of me. They must be Gods!

Cat: My owners feed me, love me, provide me with a nice house, and take good care of me. I must be the God!

Dogs or Cats as mentioned above, just represent the spiritual seekers in broader perspective. For either of them the journey on the pathless path begins from an assumed point: For the first (Dog) say Bhakta ....it starts with "YOU- Only YOU" - I am Nothing ( Not me ) whereas for the other (Cat) say Gyani...it starts with "ME- Nothing else- I am Everything ( I AM )...! :-)
 
With breaking of a Dream..during the course of this so called journey...The First wakes up at HOME with an understanding, "MYSELF- What is not me! I am Everything" and the other wakes up from a dream with an understanding," YOU-What is not you! I am Nothing"!. :-) The circle gets completed, when reaching HOME happens...(not from an external door)..waking up from a 'waking-state dream' happens! What is common in both the cases is "waking up from a dream". Does not matter what is the assumed beginning point 'cause it is alwyas a part of the dream including the dreamer!

Truth...The Eternal Ease!

The recent sharing :
Sathees Chandran commented on the note "DEATH is the only Fallacy!":


SC: There should be something beyond silence / nothing or just being; may be a different movement altogether? Otherwise it's simply a materialistic view.

 NR: :-) Truth is Here & Now.....! There is nothing beyond it or even prior to it! It encompasses every possible 'priors' and 'beyonds'.

The notional belief of being separate seek for more, different and beyond! Seeking something beyond than this present moment is a dream...and that is the Truth! The belief that the Truth is to be sought is a dream...and that is the Truth! The belief that the Truth can be found through some formula is a dream...and the understanding of that is the Truth! Whatever that is found through a formula, process can not be the Truth (The Eternal Ease)!

Truth here refers to the Eternal Truth which is your or mine or anyone's Real Nature! One can surely seek something which is separate from us.

Instead of searching it outwardly through newer concepts, newer methods, newer words the search for this 'searcher of the truth' may lead to the 'Real Abode'!

What happens is that the whole search surrounds around the (notional belief of) separate searcher and keeps that notional entity in a loop. At times it is frustrating and fearful, but the frustration and the fear is for the non-existing notional belief usually referred as 'me'. The fear is of losing the grip and of getting support less. As a matter of fact the real Truth is Support less ( Self-Supporting ) & Independent :-) And why should one fear ...fear for what!? Whatever that will annihilate or evaporate or will be seen as dream will be Non-Truth only and whatever that will prevail will be the Real..Eternal! The Real can never be destroyed and the unreal can never sustain permanently!

What is that (from seen or unseen..Known or unknown) you want....which You (Your Real Nature) are already not !!!!! What is that for which You fear (from seen or unseen..Known or unknown) ...which You are already not...!!! :-)

A kind joint process is taking place in me. Appearing of thought and feelings, by observing it gets dissolved but not everlastingly. But I can be in the gap for longer time and also having some good feelings. Again it will slip away but I am not carrying it over. Again new perception and this process going on. Am I wasting my time here? "

NR: Thank you dear Sathees. You said that the stage mentioned earlier is non-existent for ‘me’ and what I am saying is that this ‘me’ is non-existent, which itself is certainly a not a ‘feel good’ pointer ;-). You need not believe what I say but try n verify within yourself if this ‘me’ has any separate existence! What is the nature of this ‘me’ which is seeking thoughtless state permanently! What is the shape, colour, design of this ‘me’ entity! You need not share it with me but ponder within and find out for yourself. Instead of searching it outwardly through newer concepts, newer methods, newer words, the search for 'searcher of the permanent thoughtless state' may lead to the 'Real Abode'.

It seems that this ‘me’ is seeking permanent thoughtless, feeling-less state. Understand that only the dead bodies can have that kind of permanent state. Why so? Because what is absent in the dead body is the ‘breath’. What rays are for the Sun exactly the thoughts are for the Breath. As the Rays and the Sun is a singular phenomenon, same way are the Prana and the mind/thoughts. As long as breath continues the thoughts will keep on appearing and disappearing. It is the understanding that YOU are not only separate than this breath/prana but also your real existence is independent & much prior to the appearing of this breath.

Why and how are You separate from the breath!? :-) Someone who has undergone kind of dhyana/meditation practice especially ‘vipassana’ even at once will understand that the breath/prana is being witnessed by some entity within. And what is that entity which witnesses the breath is nothing other than the Consciousness. In the moment of witnessing breath one thing gets clear & obvious that ‘You’ are separate than the breath. Having “known” this that your existence is separate and despite of the breath, You understand intuitively that this breath is sort of your friend. And then the thoughts that appears & disappears which are just extension of this breath are also the inevitable ‘friends’ or rather your neighbor. Now, how many times in a day do you poke your nose at your neighbor’s house!!! :-) You simply understand that the neighbor has some inherent nature/swabhava/characteristics of say chattering. Why should one try to change the nature of your neighbor (thought or mind)!!? :-)  The mere intuitive understanding that your existence is separate and despite of that neighbor can dissolve all the efforts to bring back ‘feel good’ permanent state of thoughtlessness or curb so called bad thoughts :-) . The thoughts appearing are none of Your business.

The efforts to bring back the state of thoughtlessness are itself preventing the same. Try to understand, whenever the thoughtless state has appeared...it has appeared on its own and especially because of the momentary ‘absence of ‘me’ (despite of ‘me’) & ‘me’ is a seeker entity’. And what happens is after that feel good experience this ‘me’ will say that “I had got this wonderful experience” and I want it permanently now. Can you see the trap!!?  :-)

Second thing is the thoughtless stateless state that you are talking or aiming at is a Samadhi state. Undoubtedly it is Complete and beyond expression. But mind well that, it is a purely ‘spontaneous’... ‘Stateless state’ which is non-causal. You (me) try to arrive at it and it slips further away :-). It is always despite of ‘you (me)’! The understanding of ‘this’ that this stateless state is beyond the reach of this ‘me’ can ease out a lot of unnecessary burden. Remember that this state is not permanent to anyone who includes Krishna or Christ or Ramana. As long as breath exists at times the thoughts will cease to exist and other times they will keep on appearing and disappearing (but never ever they will disturb Your Real Nature). The delivery of these thoughts is not taken (automatically) as the entity(me) which used to take that delivery is slipped away permanently through the Understanding of one’s Real Nature :-).

In the final Understanding this ‘me’ is seen directly as a mere reflection in the mirror. Now tell me, what is the method or process one can indulge to stop suffering of this ‘me’ (which is a reflection which does not have any independent existence)? What is the technique to arrive at All time feel good state... for this reflection...mind well REFLECTION!! The reflection is asking, “How do i live my life!?” lol Don’t you feel like laughing at this divine joke that the reflection is seeking PEACE or PERMANENT HAPPINESS or TRUTH or say ENLIGHTENMENT!!!!!!!!!!? lol

You asked, ”Am I wasting my time here!”

I say nothing is wasted here and at the same time, in the core nothing is useful either! Because be it useful or useless which will be again for the same reflection ‘me’. In the absence of ‘me’ ...like in a sleeping state...do you desire anything...be it peace or thoughtless state!!?

निशब्दासाठी पडतात सर्वच अपुरे !

निशब्दासाठी खेळ आहेत सारी ‘प्रश्न आणि उत्तरे’ !

शब्दांच्या पतंगाला शब्दांचाच दोरा,

आकाशाला जरी भिडला तरी कोराच्या कोरा !

शब्दांच्या किनार्‍यावर वाहते आहे शब्दांचीच नांव,

कसा कळेल तिला कधी निशब्दाचा ठांव !

शब्द म्हणजे आहे प्राणाची भाषा,

प्राणाच्या जाणत्याला मात्र कसलीच नाही आशा !

शब्दांच्या गाद्या आणि शब्दांचेच लोड,

"स्वस्थ" वाटत नाहीये ना..मग आता तरी सोड !

शब्दाला शब्द जोडून का घालवतोस वेळ व्यर्थ,

शब्दाला कधी का असतो स्वतःचा असा अर्थ !!

शब्दांचा बाजार शब्दांचाच खेळ,

निशब्दाला 'जाण', वाया चाललांय वेळ !

शब्दांची बंधने आणि शब्दांवरील भक्ती,

मिळाली आहे कारे तुला व्यर्थ धारणांमधून मुक्ती??

शब्दांची वळणे आणि शब्दांच्याच वाटा,

"स्वगृहा"पासून लांब लांब नेतात ह्या वाटा !

शब्दांचा संग आणि शब्दांचेच रंग,

शब्दांच्या 'अलिकडचा' आहे निशब्दाचा संग !

शब्दांच्या कवायतीमधील शब्दांचेच श्रम,

जाणून घेरे तू.... ब्रह्म म्हणजे भ्रम !!

शब्दांचे पांडीत्य आणि शब्दांचाच बाजार,

"निराधार" आहेस "तो" तू, जो सार्‍या ब्रम्हांडाचा आधार !

शब्दांचा प्रभाव आणि भावाचा अभाव,

कसा कळेल रे तुला तुझा मूळ "स्व"भाव ??

शब्दातील तुझा "मी", शब्दातील तुझा "तू"...

अभ्यास सकारण आहे, तर बोध अकारण !
अभ्यासात प्रयास आहे, उद्देश आहे, तर बोध सहज, अनायास आहे !
अभ्यासात बोधाची अनुपस्थिती आहे, तर बोधामध्ये 'अभ्यासक'च अनुपस्थित आहे !
अभ्यासात अभ्यासक, अभ्यासलेले आणि अभ्यास असे तीन आहेत,
तर बोधात फक्त बोध ....आत्मबोध आहे !
अभ्यासात शोध, शोधणारा आणि शोध्य आहेत, तर बोधात शोध घेणाराच अनुपस्थित आहे !
अभ्यासात स्थित्यंतर, मध्यंतर आणि पाठांतर आहे, तर बोध हा पाठांतराविना निरंतर आहे !
अभ्यासात लक्ष आहे, तर बोध स्वयंभू अलक्ष आहे !
अभ्यासात श्रवण, वाचन, चिंतनाचा आधार आहे, तर बोध स्वयं, निरंजन... निराधार आहे !
अभ्यासात विस्मरणाचे भय आहे, तर बोधात 'बोध आहे' ह्याचेदेखील विस्मरण आहे !
अभ्यासाची पार्श्वभूमी आहे द्वैत, तर बोध म्हणजे 'भूमिहीन' अद्वैत....!
अभ्यास एक उप-स्थिती आहे, तर बोध ही स्थितीहीन 'कायम' स्थिती आहे !
अभ्यासात कुलूप आहे पण किल्लीचा मात्र शोध आहे,
तर बोधात कुलूप आणि किल्ली, दोन नाहीत हा स्पष्ट बोध आहे !

need for contentment... need for understanding...
need for realization...need for awakening...!
Life is not aware of any of them.........
.....not only it doesn't have any needs
but it doesn't even know that it is lacking Anything !
Life simply flows like a stream of water....like a breeze;
despite of 'knowingness' or even 'non-knowingness'.....!

An ancient Story of Judgments!

Shiva ridding on a Bull along with his wife Parvathi walking by his side 

were passing on a road.

A passerby comments, “How can this Man sit on a Bull’s back 

while his wife is walking by the side!?”

Shiva suggests Parvathi to accompany him on the Bull’s back.

Journey continued further with both of them riding on the Bull’s back.

A passerby utters, “Such a merciless couple! 

How can be they so unkind to the Bull?”

Both of them gets down and start walking by the side of the Bull.

Journey continued further….!

A passerby laughs,” Such a stupid couple! Can’t at least 

one of them ride on a Bull instead a Bull walking alone!?”

Shiva suggests Parvathi to ride on a Bull and 

there journey continued further.

After a short while some one comments again, 

“Such a shameful lady! How can she sit on a Bull 

while her Husband is walking by side ? Parvathi gets down….!

The story can have many more variants like

Shiva carrying the Bull on his shoulder ;-) Lol

It is the endless Story of Judgments!

A rare one will see IT as IT IS.

काय उपयोग आहे हो...!!?

"TABLE OF ZERO"
